Alyssa Weiss joined Bleakley Bavol Denman & Grace in August 2021. Ms. Weiss centers her practice on guardianship litigation, trust and probate litigation, and other general litigation matters. As a 2020 Summer Associate, Ms. Weiss was the winner of BBDG’s first Litigation Triad Competition, during which she deposed a mock expert witness, participated in a mock jury selection, and wrote a legal memorandum.
Ms. Weiss, a first-generation college graduate, received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2018 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2021. While in law school, Ms. Weiss participated in the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic where she represented children in the dependency court system. During her time with the clinic, she represented a 12-year-old girl throughout the process of getting adopted by her former schoolteacher and foster mother. Ms. Weiss was also a member of the Jewish Law Student Association and the Law Association for Women.
Originally from Broward County, Ms. Weiss has enjoyed making the Tampa Bay area her home. Outside of the office, Ms. Weiss is an avid dog lover who spends her free time attending concerts, cheering on the Florida Gators, and learning to cook and bake new recipes.
