Bleakley Bavol Denman & Grace is pleased to announce that Mercy Almaguer has joined the firm as an Associate Attorney. Ms. Almaguer has been a member of the Florida Bar for five years and recently completed two judicial clerkships with the Honorable John L. Badalamenti and the Honorable Susan H. Rothstein-Youakim at the Second District Court of Appeals.
Ms. Almaguer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Florida International University, magnum cum laude, and completed her Juris Doctoral degree in 2017 from the University of Florida. As a law student, Ms. Almaguer served as a member of the Florida Moot Court, placing first at the 25th Annual Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition and the 6th Annual CKP Cup Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals Bankruptcy Moor Court Competition. Ms. Almaguer’s experience is a great asset to our Commercial Litigation and Appellate practices.
Ms. Almaguer is currently the Co-Chair of the Journal Committee for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and Law Related Educational Committee for the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. She also volunteers for the Hillsborough Educational Foundation’s Take Stock in Children Mentoring Program.
