About

Matthew E. Linsky is an Associate Attorney who focuses his practice on commercial, real estate, employment, condominium/HOA, negligent security, and wrongful death litigation matters.

A third-generation Tampanian, Mr. Linsky comes from a family of attorneys with a variety of different practice areas throughout Tampa Bay. Prior to practicing law, Linsky worked in the music industry for publishers and other rights-holders, specializing in A&R services, synchronization licensing, and copyright administration.
 
Mr. Linsky graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, was elected the President of his graduating class, and was inducted into Columbia’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. At graduation, Linsky received the “Phi Beta Kappa Award” given annually to an inductee who exemplifies the values of academic excellence, commitment to the liberal arts, and community service. 
 
Returning to his home state to attend Florida State University’s Law School on scholarship, Mr. Linsky represented the law school in the University Senate, the Congress of Graduate Students, and as the Chief Justice of the Student Supreme Court. When serving in the University Senate, Linsky was the recipient of the “Mores Award,” given annually by a vote of fellow Senators to honor a colleague who has demonstrated outstanding moral character.  Additionally, Linsky served as an editor of Florida State University Law Review’s Editorial Board, Business Review, Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law, competed on the Trial Team, and was a national semi-finalist in the Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Rights trial competition. 
 
While attending law school, Mr. Linsky was an extern to the Chief Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit, after which he was hired by the Court to assist several judges in managing their civil case dockets. Linsky also clerked for the managing partner emeritus of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Tallahassee office, where he assisted in a successful Eleventh Circuit appeal regarding the scope and application of the Foreign Sovereign Immunity Act’s commercial activity exception.
 
When Mr. Linsky is not passionately advocating for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, revisiting spots from his childhood to see how much Tampa has grown, and rooting for the Bucs, Lightning, and Rays.
