The defendant was a former subcontractor of one of the firm’s long time clients, IS MY DRIVING SAFE. Defendant worked his way into a position of trust and became vitally important to the client in terms of expanding company sales and handling operations. Unfortunately defendant decided to take the knowledge and industry contacts obtained while working in a position of trust with Plaintiff and open his own company in direct competition with the firm’s client. The firm immediately filed suit and rapidly obtained a temporary injunction shutting down the illegal competition. Ultimately the trial court entered a permanent injunction after awarding Plaintiff a portion of its attorney’s fees and litigation costs.
